For their Sophomore album Leopardism left the live-take recording method and produced a studio album in it’s traditional sense. The Masterpiece Of Shit was recorded over three weeks and took four years to mix and two weeks to master. It’s like the mixing process felt the heavy toll of inertia and long distance relationships. It ran through the fingers of everyone involved like grains of sand. The result however is thoroughly satisfying in it’s simplicity. They’ve retained their stripped down sound while still pushing it up a notch and the songs are dynamic and playful. Even though there’s a lot of ideas mashed together the glue of rock n’ roll keeps it all from falling appart.
